Growing up, not very far from the Arctic Circle, this time of year meant bundling up and bracing for the arrival of a few dark and icy months. Not in Texas! Sure, the Texas weather infamously makes unexpected nosedives and occasionally dabbles in freezing temperatures, but quickly returns to more skirt-friendly conditions. Today was yet another wonderfully mild December day, so I guess winter will have to wait just a little while longer.

Where are the piercing gusts of wind, puddles of rainwater and frosty breaths that have been filling up my Facebook news feed for the past month? Sweater Weather, I can hear the crunch of auburn leaves under my shoes, but I’m pretty sure that 83 degrees is a margarita and a pair of flip flops away from a bikini.

Being the shoe aficionado that I am, naturally my first blog post is about the latest addition to my collection. These iridescent, lustrous slingback beauties by Rebecca Minkoff jumped out at me and begged me to take them home, and who am I to say no? Designer Rebecca Minkoff is perhaps best known for her handbags that are oh, so popular right now in the USA. I must say though, her shoes are even better.
